Every week the Daily Republic, the local Fairfield newspaper prints a column “Themccmully Right Stuff”, that discusses relevant conservative issues. Jim McCully and Earl Heal, both influential leaders within the Solano County Republican party and our community along with Roger Oberbeck and Kevin Ryan, write these columns providing thoughtful commentary and information.

 

Here in the month of June, the Solano  Republican Women’s Federated consider ourselves fortunate  to have Jim and Earl speak at our Luncheon meeting.

Jim McCully is a former Chairman of the Solano County Republican Central Committee, former Regional Vice Chairman of the California Republican Party and a retired US Secret Service Officer. He and his family also own and operates a winery and vintner business which produces and markets Gunn Barrel Wines.

 

earlEarl Heal is a retired Air Force Officer, Vacaville resident, contributing member of The Right Stuff column and formerly a member of the Solano County Republican Central Committee.

 

He is respected by many for his selfless contributions and leadership positions within Solano county including board member of the Solano Tea Party, Meals on Wheels, Taxpayers Organization, Constitutional Literacy Advocates and many others.

 

 
Colleen Britton VOTE SAFE in 2022 May 2, 2022

colleen_britton1.jpgColleen Britton is a teacher, photographer, author of several books and has written countless articles on a wide variety of subjects.

 

She is very active in our community and is also the Bay Area Regional Coordinator for the Election Integrity Project Ca.  EIPCa is a non-partisan, non-profit, volunteer organization that over the last 12 years has researched and observed California elections to provide citizen oversight to help ensure that the state and its counties are complying with laws that protect the integrity of elections.

Colleen is also the founder and Chair of Constitution Literacy Advocates (CLA,) in Solano County.  2022 marks the eleventh year that their group has sponsored an annual Constitution Essay Contest open to ALL Solano County students in grades 7-12. Since the first year of the contest in 2012, nearly 1,500 student entries have been received and more than $9,400 has been awarded to Solano County Students.   CLA volunteers also provide complimentary Pocket Constitutions to all seven of Solano County Public libraries and to teachers within Solano County who request them.

 
Major Ret. Rudy Recile Candidate for Congressional District 8 April 2022

rudy.jpgRudy Recile Retired Armor, Infantry US Army Officer with 26 years of service, is a  US American Citizen with Filipino heritage.  He is the son of a single immigrant mother who worked hard to bring her family to the USA from the Philippines. 

 

In 1987 he also swore an oath of service to the US Army to defend the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic.  Rudy served in the US Army with 14 years of executive level experience from the unit level to the Pentagon as a logistician and project manager. He managed worldwide projects at the executive level, obtaining and managing million dollar budgets and assets.

 

Rudy is a business owner specializing in small business web site development. He is a Quality Systems Management Professional. Rudy is the Treasurer for the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2333 Fairfield/Suisun California.

He believes in God, the individual, selfless service, integrity, personal courage, and family.

Rudy has watched career politicians, in Washington DC and in California, work just to keep their jobs, negatively impacting the way adults and children view the world, who at the same time ignore the needs of the community.

Ron-Kott-300x242.jpgRon was raised in Auburn, New York, a small, lake side community in the Finger Lakes Area of upstate New York. His career took him to major metropolitan areas including, New York, Miami, Buffalo and San Francisco, before moving to Rio Vista in 2008, recapturing the small community atmosphere he found so  appealing.

 

He has 25 years of senior level financial and managerial experience holding the Chief Financial Officer, VP Finance, Controller and other top financial positions, both public and privately held companies. His experience covers; finance, accounting, budgeting, human resources, IT, operations and facilities management.

 

He attended Rutgers University, then transferred to the University of Nebraska-Omaha where he received a BS in Economics and an MBA. Additionally, he earned Certified Managerial Accountant and Certified Financial Management designations.  Beginning in 2010, Ron has volunteered his services providing free tax preparation to low- and middle- income taxpayers, mainly in Rio Vista, through the IRS sponsored Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.

Ron was elected to the City Council in November 2014. In 2016 he was appointed Vice Mayor and in November 2017, upon the passing of Mayor Norman Richardson, was appointed Mayor of Rio Vista. In addition to serving on various city committees and commissions, Ron also represents Rio Vista, serving on the boards of the Solano Transportation Agency, Solano County Water Authority, Yolo Solano Air Quality Board, the Delta Protection Commission and several other regional agencies.

 

 
Rochelle Haskett, Founder Canine Guardians 7 February 2022

Canine Guardians is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, fully volunteer, donation-based organization in the beautiful Napa Valley. We raise and train and provide service dogs to assist and enrich the daily lives of wounded American veterans and veterans with PTSD , children and adults with physical disabilities, children with cancer, and diabetics.  Canine Guardians

We empower PTSD veterans and disabled people to live a more independent life by providing them with specially trained assistance dogs. Our dogs assist with physical needs, address and soothe emotional wounds, retrieve dropped items, bring needed items, help them feel safe in public, calm, comfort, adore and love them. We have a waitlist with people waiting anxiously for our dogs!

Currently, 16 dogs are in training: 14 are training with Puppy Parents Trainers and 2 dogs, while in training, are at Youth Detention Homes calming the children. Local students/adults raise our puppies in their own homes while receiving essential bi-weekly guidance and skills training for/with their dogs.

Each of our dogs is specially trained to address the needs of the individual they will be assisting.  Canine Guardians' dogs not only help with physical needs but can also help heal emotional wounds, as well.

Our dogs comfort and calm, and provide love and understanding to their person.
